6/9/15 Vernon NY– A pair of Crawford Farms rookies took to the track Friday morning at Vernon Downs Raceway and Casino and did not fail to impress. ANGELS ROCKN PINK (2, F, ROCK N ROLL HEAVEN – MISS LIZ – BETTOR’S DELIGHT) abandoned an pocket trip early and coasted to a lifetime best 1:55.4 for driver John MacDonald. In her second qualifier of the year, the Rock N Roll Heaven filly improved by over a second in preparation for her July 1st NYSS debut in Buffalo.
In the eight qualifier of the morning LOVE CRAZY LOVE (2, F, CRAZED – LOVE U OVERANDOVER – ANDOVER HALL) found another gear after a textbook two hole trip, coming home in 29.1 to edge the Ducharme entry of Lindylicious in 2:01.2 for driver/trainer Gates Brunet. This was the Crazed rookies first outing of the year as she looks to sharpen her skills prior to a July 3rd NYSS debut at Monticello.
